It's Here: The New York State Higher Education Loan Program is Enacted
Governor Paterson announces the enactment of the New York Higher Education Loan Program - NYHELPs will help fill the gap between college costs and financial aid by giving students and families access to low-cost education loans not currently available in the private loan market. NYHELPs loans will be available for students in the spring term of the 2009-10 academic year.
The New York State Higher Education Services Corporation, the State's financial aid agency is promoting financial literacy throughout April by highlighting financial education tools and services available through HESC.org to students, parents, schools and all New Yorkers to help them understand money issues.
Free Study help is available for high school students who are gearing up for the New York State Regents Exams. Regents Review Live! begins May 4 with programming for each of the ten subject exams and four language exams, airing on public television stations across the state.
