Give Your Students the FACTS of Financial Literacy
HESC’s Financial Awareness and Consumer Training for Students (FACTS) module is a collection of materials to help schools counsel high school students on basic financial management skills – topics include: why savings is important; how to open a savings and checking account; how to write a check; determining “needs” versus “wants;” understanding credit and becoming aware of identity theft. The curriculum is presented in customized Power Point modules, complete with scripts, talking points and hand-outs. All the materials can be personalized to the school’s needs and presented by guidance, business or other educators at high school -- or by HESC trainers.
