MPN Retrieval Cost
Due to the large number of Master Promissory Notes being requested for loans which have been or will be PUT to the Department of Education (ED), and because of the short turnaround time needed, effective July 17, 2009, HESC will begin charging for the cost to retrieve copies of both paper and electronically signed MPNs.
The cost is 40 cents for each e-MPN and 60 cents for each paper MPN. HESC will follow a billing process similar to the one used for Electronic File Transfer (EFT), sending MPN bills monthly to the same address. If you want this bill to be directed to a different contact or address, please send a note with this information to
hescbilling@hesc.org.
MPN Retrieval
Requests for MPNs should be made as soon as the lender anticipates the PUT, but no later than 45 days prior to the date they are needed. The MPN retrieval process and file output will depend on whether the MPN is held at HESC in paper or electronic form.
Payment for these services will be due 30 days from the invoice date. You may direct questions regarding billing for MPN retrievals to
hescbilling@hesc.org.
Please direct any questions or comments regarding the use of HESC electronic products or services to Priority Services at
