e-MPN Processing Overview

For Stafford and Graduate/Professional PLUS loans, no paper is required and edits are done as the student borrower enters data, eliminating follow-up on incomplete fields. Students electronically sign the note by using their HescPIN, which is created as a part of the process. When the e-MPN is complete, the loan is guaranteed instantly if the school certification is on file.

With the Parent PLUS e-MPN, HESC offers parents of college students the fast, efficient option of filing electronically for a PLUS loan, replacing the traditional signature on paper and saving time.

For schools who choose to use electronic processing, HESC offers to send a borrower letter that provides instructions to complete and sign their e-MPN on our Web site.
