Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) is a national initiative to create innovative programs that help low-income students prepare to enter and succeed in postsecondary education. GEAR UP programs target at-risk students from grades seven through twelve, helping them realize the dream of going to college.
