Are you an enrolled member of a New York State tribe or the child of an enrolled member of a New York State tribe? You may be eligible for an award through the Aid to Native Americans Program.

Eligibility

Enrolled members of a New York State tribe and their children who are attending, or planning to attend, a college in New York State and are New York State residents.
Awards are made to all eligible applicants. There is no qualifying examination. Awards are available for 2, 4 or 5-year programs.

Available Awards

Awards for full-time students are up to $2,000 annually, $1,000 per semester. Part-time awards are approximately $85 per credit hour.

Application Process

Applications must be postmarked by July 15 for the fall semester, by December 31 for the spring semester, and by May 20 for the summer session. There are no fees for submitting an application. Students must apply for each semester (not annually).
