This online application allows you to apply for New York State's Tuition Assistance Program (TAP).

Have You Applied for TAP Already?

If you have already applied for TAP, don't do it again. Check the status of your TAP application at any time by launching your Student Account.

Make Sure You Have Completed the FAFSA

Before you begin your TAP application, you must have completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). If you haven't, click here to begin.

Have You Been Notified?

After submitting your FAFSA, HESC will notify you that you can complete your TAP application online. Have you received notification from HESC (either a post card or an e-mail)? If not, visit How to Apply for TAP.

Now Apply for TAP

After receiving notification, you are ready to complete your online TAP application. Start the process by creating a user name and personal identification number (HescPIN). Apply now.
