Expanded Use of HESC PIN Effective January 1, 2007

Beginning on January 1, 2007, students and parents will be required to use the HescPIN to view TAP or borrower account information on HESC.org.
Previously, when accessing their account information, borrowers and TAP applicants/recipients were required to confirm their identities using their Social Security numbers (SSN) and birth dates. The HescPIN will also replace SSN and date of birth information when requesting duplicate TAP forms and making basic, online updates, such as college code and address changes.
Using the HescPIN is safer and more secure, and will allow HESC to enhance the types of online transactions that will become available in the future.
