HESC Media Becomes More Social
Joanne Razzano
These days, many people get their news via Facebook, Twitter, RSS or other social media. Using social media is a quick and easy way to get and send information to audiences interested in what you have to say.
Since August 2009, HESC has maintained a Facebook page called “New York Student Financial Aid.” As of this posting, the page has nearly 350 fans located throughout New York. The fan base is growing steadily, attracting about ten new fans each week.
In April, HESC began Twittering under the name, “NYStudentFinAid,” and will be using social media to communicate with colleagues.
With the release of this issue, the colleague newsletter will be retired; future articles of interest will be distributed in blog format. We would like to hear from you if you're interested in being a guest blogger.
Please join us as we become more social; become a “fan” and encourage your students and colleagues to do the same. Together, we can help students and families pay for college.
