Teens in Military Families Serve, Too
April, the “Month of the Military Child,” recognized the challenges faced by more than 1.7 million children in military families across the country. While mothers and fathers are serving their country, whether on a military installation in your community or deployed overseas, family responsibilities often fall to their teen. Additionally, teens miss their military parent, who is often away for birthdays, school successes, and other special occasions.
Even though this special awareness month has passed, learn how you can support teens of military families year-round by reviewing A Toolkit About Military Teens: We Serve, Too developed by the National Military Family Association.
