HESC Implements New School Services Toll-Free Phone Number

On March 19, HESC will make it easier for college administrators to get answers to their financial aid related questions.
For the past several months HESC has been working to improve service to college administrators by providing them with a faster, more convenient way to reach HESC personnel. Now, HESC is pleased to announce a new customer service portal exclusively for college administrators featuring a new toll-free phone number and voice response system (VRS).
The new portal will enable college administrators to better direct their phone contacts with HESC. Using the new VRS menu, at the touch of their phone's key pad college administrators will be able to choose between the HESC Customer Communication Center, College and University Relations, the HESC Help Desk, HESC's Priority Services Team, the Loan and TAP Program Policy Teams, or the Data Exchange Team.
Launching on March 19, 2007, the new college administrator access number is 1-866-431-HESC (1-866-431-4372).
College administrators should remember this phone number has been designed specifically for their use and is not intended to be used by students. Students should continue to use 1-888-NYSHESC (1-888-697-4372).
