“Fast track” courses meet for periods of time other than a full term; they may start and end before or after the regular semester. Some colleges refer to such courses as “late start” courses.
For TAP purposes, if you take fast track courses, you must carry at least one course that meets for the full 15 weeks in a semester (including examination periods) to satisfy the "full-time study" requirement in the Regulations of the Commissioner of Education.
To assure that your course load will be TAP eligible, you must either register for at least 12 credits to be undertaken during the semester or pre-file a plan of study for enrollment in at least 12 credits to be undertaken during the semester. You may not add fast track courses at a later date during the semester to achieve a full-time course load.
