State student aid is available for part-time study.

For general awards, other than Veterans Tuition Awards and Aid for Part-time Study, and for academic performance awards (scholarships), part-time study is defined in regulations as “enrollment for at least 6, but less than 12, semester hours or the equivalent for a semester of not less than 15 weeks, inclusive of examination periods; or at least four, but less than eight, semesters hours a quarter.”

For Veterans Tuition Awards and Aid for Part-Time Study, the minimum part-time course load is three semester hours. If you are receiving aid through one of these programs and you are taking noncredit remedial courses, you will have to take at least three semester hours of credit-bearing work in addition to the remedial study to be eligible.
