A readmitted student is a student who is returning to a college previously attended.

If you were in good academic standing and eligible for a subsequent award, you can apply for and continue to receive financial aid.

If you failed to maintain good academic standing for financial aid purposes, you may regain eligibility for State student aid if you are readmitted to the same college under the following conditions:

  • You are returning to college after an absence of at least one calendar year;
  • You have not received State financial assistance at another college; and
  • You meet the college’s academic requirements for readmission.

When you meet these conditions, you are eligible for an award for the first term upon readmission but you must then meet the good academic standing requirements to continue to be eligible for further financial aid.

Note: If you were dismissed for academic reasons but you still met the TAP good academic standing requirements for a subsequent payment, you are eligible on readmission and do not have to meet any of the above conditions.
