Farewell to Tom Dalton

Tom Dalton a.k.a. Running ManAfter seven years, Tom Dalton (a.k.a. The Running Man) has left HESC to resume his career in financial aid as the Vice President of Enrollment Management at Excelsior College in Saratoga.

During his HESC tenure, Tom served as Assistant Vice President in the HESC Loans Division for several years, and then joined the Customer Relations Division as the Senior Vice President.

About his accomplishments while here, Tom mused, “It has been an exciting time at HESC, and I am happy to have been a part of it. I feel very fortunate to have played a role in the crucial transition from paper to electronic processing for TAP and loans.”

Before joining HESC, Tom was the Director of Financial Aid at the Albany College of Pharmacy, and served as an Assistant Director of Financial Aid and a financial aid counselor at Siena College in Loudonville.


In addition, Tom is a past president of both the Eastern Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (EASFAA) and the New York State Financial Aid Administrators Association (NYSFAAA).

Upon leaving HESC Tom remarked, “It has been an honor to serve HESC. I will miss the people I have gotten to know in the last 7 years.”

Tom, your HESC colleagues will miss you too. We wish you well and look forward to seeing you as you run about in the financial aid community.
