HESC Training Update: 2009 Administrative Workshops

In November and December, HESC staff toured the State, providing the latest guidance on HESC initiatives to 400 financial aid professionals. The annual HESC Administrative Workshop series kicked off in Buffalo, and headed to Syracuse and Albany, finishing up in Long Island and New York City. Participants heard the latest on TAP Grants and Scholarships, and received up to-the-minute guidance on HESC's Student Loan Marketplace and processing loans under the new NYHELPs program, launching December 21 for the spring 2010 semester. The workshops also featured trainers from the New York State Division of Veteran's Affairs, who provided details on the wide range of veteran's benefits that are available, and strategies for assisting veterans on college campuses.
