HESC to Launch Web Site Refresh
Kathy Crowder
When you open HESC.org this Monday, June 28 you’re going to notice some dramatic changes. To coincide with developments in the student loan industry, HESC.org will have a new look and more refined navigation, increasing the usability of the site and placing greater emphasis on the resources we offer students, families and you.
Among the changes:
- A new home page that immediately presents students and parents with the college financing information they need.
- A refreshed and more current design.
- Enhanced left and bottom navigation to make it easier for visitors to know with just a quick glance what’s available in each section of the site, and to help them speedily navigate directly to it.
Although the site refresh will be extensive, there are some important features that will not change:
- Although content has been revised to accommodate FFEL Program changes, most of the material on the site will remain the same. All College Administrator resources will remain in place.
- All page addresses will remain the same; if students, parents, or you have pages bookmarked, the bookmarks will continue to lead you where you want to go.
- The recently launched NYHELPs site will retain its look, feel and navigation structure.
But this is only the beginning. Later this year we’ll launch an entirely new HESC.org. We’ll build this site using versatile new software, making it possible to include a larger variety of content like videos, knowledge bases, print-on-demand literature and more.
In the mean time, we’re very excited to present the current changes to HESC.org and are pleased to streamline and refresh a resource that means so much to students, families, and you.
