School Advisory Council Meets in Saratoga
Teresa Gehrer
Making sure that HESC offers relevant and well designed products and services involves presenting our best ideas to our college administrator colleagues and encouraging them to share their thoughts about our plans. In September, 15 members of the HESC School Advisory Council gathered with HESC staff in Saratoga Springs to learn about products and services to be released in the next year, including HESC's new Alt Loan Connection processing and the HESC Student Loan Marketplace.
HESC staff members and council members discussed processing and procedures related to the 2007 processing season, including loans processing topics such as PLUS credit check and EFT.
They delved into customer-related areas like communicating with HESC, HESC consumer information, the HESC PIN process, and financial literacy training.
The group also shared thoughts on "best practices" in the financial aid office.
HESC appreciates the council members' thoughtful and comprehensive comments, and is grateful to council members for taking time to share their insights.
